Research Specialist Position.
We are seeking a research specialist with a BSc/MSc in biology or a related discipline. The laboratory is performing Department of Defense-related research and is focused on the development of phage-based diagnostics for the detection of bacterial pathogens. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the areas of microbiology and/or molecular biology, and be able to work individually, and in a team environment. Responsibilities and skill requirements include DNA cloning, bacterial culturing and maintenance, PCR, reading scientific literature, ability to problem solve, and organizational and time-management skills.
