Guild BioSciences (GBS) conducts internal
research that pushes the limits of protein and proteomic analysis, constantly working to improve the sensitivity and outcomes of methods and techniques instrumental in protein research, such as
2D electrophoresis. The in-depth knowledge and skills gained through GBS’ internal research are expertly applied to both external research projects and
GBS protein and proteomic services. Externally funded projects explore the protein science and molecular biology of biosensor development, working to optimize biosensor applications in chemical and biodefense and public health arenas. GBS researchers also explore the areas of protein and gene biomarkers as they relate to clinical diagnostics and therapeutic applications. GBS is always on the lookout for productive, mutually beneficial partnerships. With the basic protein and gene research pursued at GBS, the potential for expansion and commercialization of biological discoveries is substantial. Biomarker and biosensor research is on the cutting edge of many disciplines, including pharmacology, epidemiology, and toxicology. GBS represents an opportunity for potential research and commercial partners to participate in this exciting field.
As collaborators with extensive experience in research and project supervision, GBS scientists can function as a source of biological expertise and research knowledge, or serve as project managers or leaders in circumstances that require small business oversight (SBIR, STTR or other such programs). In addition, as part of Guild Associates, Inc, GBS has the support of a multi-disciplinary engineering and production team.
