Proteome Analysis: RAMR™ Protein Profiling

As part of a proteomic analysis, GBS can perform Rapid Analysis Meso-Resolution (RAMR) ^TM protein profiling. This novel approach developed by GBS provides medium levels of protein resolution in timelines of less than half those required for 2DE. The procedure is appropriate for water-soluble protein mixtures, which are rapidly processed through two optimized chromatographic steps. The three fractions that result are then further separated via SDS PAGE. The procedure typically resolves 120-150 proteins and is 4 to 5 times as sensitive as standard SDS PAGE at detecting changes in protein abundance. Also, upon request, GBS can analyze client samples using customized chromatographic pre-fractionations followed by focused, higher-resolution SDS PAGE analysis.
