Isolation and Purification:
GBS will perform single or multiple chromatographic fractionations for the purification
of customer selected proteins. We can also purify HIS tagged recombinant proteins.
We use a Waters HPLC system for all standard chromatography separations. As part
of this service, you provide a means or method of identifying the protein of interest
and we do the rest.

Characterization:
GBS will conduct biochemical characterization of purified or partially purified
proteins. Our basic report includes estimates of molecular weight, isoelectric point,
and relative hydrophobicity. Relative hydrophobicity is accomplished using an analytical
Hydrophobic Interaction Column calibrated with standard HIC marker proteins. Supplemental
information on post-translational modification including glycosylation, phosphorylation,
presence of cysteine residues and disulfide bonds, and protein identification by
tryptic digestion and MS analysis can also be performed.
